Due to the current situation (Covid -19) in the world all events are postponed!

Open Days at Alton Abbey

  • 25th & 26th April 2020 - 12pm - 5pm

  • Second-hand Books
  • Organ Recital on Saturday & Piano Recital on Sunday both start at 3pm
Entrance £3.00 and Teas £3.00 (purchase on the day)

Friends’ Quiet Day

  • 13th June 2020 - 9.00am - 4.00pm

This is a generous opportunity for us to enjoy the peace and prayerfulness of the Abbey, as a gift to us from the Community. Please do take up this invitation. There is no charge for the day, but donations are always appreciated. Bring your own lunch; tea and coffee are available in the Reception kitchen.

St Benedict’s Day

2pm: Canon Alan Hodgetts OSB “Go, sit in your cell, and your cell will teach you everything.”

Postponed from October 2019. Canon Alan Hodgetts became a Prison Chaplain in 2006 and is currently the Managing Chaplain of HMP Woodhill.

Followed by FOAA AGM both in the Abbey Church
